So this is probably the last photo you'd expect to see on my blog (or for those of you who know me, maybe not). It's a lil random i know but i kinda like the variety of "subjects" when it comes to my photos....certainly keeps you on your toes! :)

Make room for this shroom

Ok, so I stumbled upon this pretty impressive mushroom growing in my backyard a few weeks ago. It looks really cool but let me just say that anything bigger than a portobello is on the verge of scaring me....so I definitely didn't wanna touch it and have my finger melt off haha!

Anywho, I showed my dad these pictures and he was like "why don't you cook it?" Personally, I think it's big enough to be the crust of a pizza but I'd have to post these pictures on some "mushroom lovers" blog before I proceed with any sort of menu. Yet, I'd like to believe that this particular mushroom increases our property value so it will be spared due to its assumed rarity haha.

But watch some deer like prances through our backyard and eats it.....I will be throughly upset! :)

The building blues

I had a field day taking photos of buildings in Chicago. I think it was partly due to my visit to the museum of contemporary photography where the current exhibit showcased photographs of buildings...it was real dope! I was certainly inspired and was even like "my photos are good enough to display here" haha. Anywho, i kept seeing this building so i have numerous photos of it....i like this pic the best....very futuristic huh!

I'm back!

Sorry for my MIA-ness....work has kept me super busy and tired, plus i didn't have much new stuff to post anyways. BUT....drum roll please.....i had Thursday and Friday off so my family and I drove to Chicago. I have new photos galore which i will be posting in the next couple of days. Here are two photos just to start things off....i hope you like em!

Love is more poetic than pain

This is a rose from a bouquet i got for my last birthday. Oddly enough, i chose to photograph it when it was dying. I found it to be just as beautiful (if not more) than when it was alive...still symbolizing love even through it's death.

Camera phone car ride

So i was driving the other day and saw this huge but wonderfully shaped cloud in the distance (the sky never seizes to amaze me, day or night). I told my older brother to look at it and he sarcastically said, "why don't you take a picture of it?" Good idea, I thought and proceeded to pull out my phone and snap a few shots while i was cruising down the road. I must say it's safer than texting...now you could kill someone with that one. But anywho, I was impressed by the shots i got AND more importantly, i didn't get into an accident......oh, the things i do for a cool photo!
