Animal planet type stuff

Despite my gloomy day i was able to feast my eyes upon 16 deer....I would like to think that it was Bambi's extended family tho! ;-) But I didn't do the counting (or else i would have got into an accident), my moms did and i felt like i was in the lion king...except with deer of course haha. The experience was very majestic and nature-like haha....i felt like i should have heard some animal expert commenting on their behavior as a herd of lions come running towards them outta no where.

But anywho, I'm tired and hungry....not the best combo cuz i think it makes me impatient and cranky haha. So i'ma eat and relax the rest of the night....hope that the winter storm we're supposed to get tonight isn't too bad but if i was in elementary or high school, i'd be hoping for a snow day! :)

Just another day

So i've realized now more than ever how much i wanna travel....to just get away from the routines of life and experience something....anything new! If it was up to me (and i had just enough money) that's exactly what I'd be doing.

However, this train of thought was replaced with the fact that my mom just found out that it's gonna take another 6 weeks for her shoulder to heal so my chauffeur services are still needed. Upon realizing this, i think my body shut down and went into auto pilot. Has that ever happened to you?

Anyways, this was not the greatest day for me....kinda sad actually. :-/ I just don't wanna have to keep putting my life on pause or watch repeats of it......but things happen and i have to be patient because "patience is a virtue." I gotta stay positive and keep my eye on the prize because i just know when that day comes and i set foot in my first destination, i will cry for like a day!

Weird and random thought

If i wasn't weird enough, here's a thought i just had....

A shiver is like your spine sneezing! :)

Haha, kinda gross cause it would prolly sneeze out bone morrow but hey...never a dull moment in my head! AND i bet you're gonna hear some doctor say that one day....but you know where you heard it first! ;-)

Interesting

Why is it always about "what will you do?".......why isn't the issue here, "who I am?"

What you do doesn't define who you are, who you are defines what you do!

Drops

When the rain hits my skin
it is like a lover's touch.
My eyes are opened to the spectrum of colors
that fill this world with abundant life.

I inhale and exhale
with every drop of hydrogen and oxygen
that collides with my body,
composing a symphony of sounds
that are in perfect harmony.

This is what I love!

To stop and listen
for this moment in nature.
Experiencing each morsel of water
burst with energy,
later to be reincarnated into vapor
upon the sight of the sun.

Rain don't go away

So it's raining right now where i live and i think there is not a single human being that doesn't like the sound of raindrops or dreams about being stuck outside in the rain and like playing in a muddy field....well i know that's my dream! :)

And it just so happens that i wrote a poem about it (haha) which i will post shortly....so enjoy!

P.S. I just wanna say that everyone should download this song, "two months off" by underworld....it is like pure life in a song!

A poem I wrote a lil while back

The Growing Life

You feel like your life is smaller than what it should be
but understand that lives need time to grow just like we do.

With each year, we take up more space with our "stuff"
but with each moment, our lives breathe in more life.

So you feel the way you do because it's just your life
dying to have more room to breathe.

Forget about your "stuff" and
find a place big enough to let your life grow!

Dinner is served!

So my dad brings home all the ingredients to make his "signature" spaghetti and he winds up nominating me to cook it haha. Since being at home, I haven't been in the "mood" to cook (not like i used to anyway) and considering that today was my day off from driving my moms around haha, i decided to accept the nomination as head cook for the evening....cause ya know what they say, sometimes when you want it done right, you gotta do it yourself!" :)

Here's a picture.....the fruits of my labor, yum-o!

Is it making you hungry? hehe

At this moment :)

Today was a good day. I didn't do anything special or fun...it was just one of those days, simple but good. Right now I'm really happy...and i have the urge to make others feel the same way....has that ever happened to you?

Well anywho,
I'm just glad that I'm a happy person....that's it.

Quote

This quote was on a bookmark i was given and just found...thought it was fitting for my blog...

"Live each day to the fullest. Get the most from each hour, each day, and each age of your life."

I really like this quote...
i often forget that each moment of my life is a brand new one, completely different from the previous...and that is something to acknowledge and celebrate. So....hello moment, welcome to my life! :)

You're either in or you're out

Good morning all!

So i was thinking this while i was laying in the bed last night....had to write it down so that i could remember to post it today....so here it goes....my thoughts...nothing more, nothing less....

I may not have the skinniest skinny jeans or the tallest tall boots but those things are either attainable or changeable (if thats a word)....they make you fit in or stand out in a world that never stays the same. But you know what my favorite fashion trend is.....just being ME!

It's easy to fit in on the outside
and it's easy to stand out on the outside. But try standing out on the inside...that's where the true difference lies.

Be you from the inside out because that'll never go outta style!

P.S. Enjoy the snowy day but be careful on those rodes....slow and steady wins the race! ;-)

Silly stuff

Sade- "Have you ever seen a snake shed?

Candace- "Um no, not in person..."

Sade- "Haha, I would hope not...all watching the snake after gettin' bit!"

Candace- "Right, get a lil' educational experience before I die."

Sade- "We are retarded...i hope you know that!"

Candace- "We're cool!"

Sade- "You know you're cool when you can say it...

Candace- "...and mean it!"

HAHA

Two things...

1. I'm in need of an adventure! :)

2. You know what's weird...we talk about life as it we're not the ones living it...as if we're onlookers of our own passing lives, just willing to make commentary on it. But we look right at it and it looks right back at us...waiting...life is waiting for US.

We are living life at this very moment but yet we talk and talk....about life....and miss out on living it! We gotta interact with life if we're gonna have one!

P.S. So I just realized that this whole post is me "talking about life".....way to contradict myself! But y'all get the point. LOL

Green means GO!

Ok, ok....I know I need to take a day off from this blog but our lives don't take days off so here's another one for you folks... ;-)

Don't be the backseat driver of your life....take the wheel....and NO cruise control, life is too fluid for that...enjoy the bumps and curves....they're called "change"!

Word to the wise

Don't just follow your dreams...CHASE 'EM!

I need to take my own advice huh....
teaching+photography+traveling=pursuit of happyness :)

Side note: Saturday movie

Sorry to stray away from the essence of my blog but since i'm such a movie junkie i just have to say this:

Cloverfield+unsteady camera=dizziness=me paying $7 for the 20 minutes when i forced my eyes to look at the screen. LOL

P.S. Stay warm everyone....that wind chill takes no prisoners! :-\

And enjoy the photo...it's one of my favorites that i've taken.

The photo has an eerie look to it but at the same time, there's just something about that tall tree that makes you stare...so at peace but also strong and mighty...as if its watching over the land...full of knowledge and experiences from what its seen.

If that tree could talk....i wonder what it would say....

A question...for me and you

What's the biggest obstacle you'll have to overcome in life?

Hint: look in the mirror...

ACE of spades

weird=different=unique=ME...and YOU

Embrace the "weird" inside....make life more interesting! :-)

Flashing...lights...

I like taking photos of different kinds of light fixtures....

...there are so many "houses" for light bulbs! ;-)

Change

A true journey of discovery is not so much about changing our surroundings but rather about changing the way we see.

Look beyond what you can see!

My poem: Flying

I can't wait for the day when there are no limits...
on my life, talents, dreams, thoughts, beliefs, and feelings...
on what I hear, feel, see, touch, smell, and taste.

It is then that I will fly.

In life...

there is always beauty.

Just thinking

Note to self: Don't always think you're bothering someone just because their life might be busier than yours. If the other person cares about you as much as you care about them, then they would never feel bothered by you!

AIM convo quote

Candace-" I wonder what people think...about our friendship."

Cindy-"Either they think we're weirdos, or they wanna be us."

Candace-"I like both."

Cindy- "I do too."

Man, I LOVE all my friends and family....they're the greatest!

The clock strikes

Tick tock, tick tock.....what time is it? Time for life!

Straight line please

Sometimes I feel like I’m waiting in line to experience life. Yes, I am living it right now but this is just the prerequisites of my life…getting me ready to live the life that I think/kinda know is in store for me. But as I wait in this line, I seem to get pushed back further or miss my opportunity to move up because I wasn’t paying attention...maybe looking at someone else's life. But most often I think I just stand there waiting for life to come to me because I’m not sure what “life” I wanna choose when I get to the front of the line. But hey, the life i'm meant to lead will soon be revealed...then i can walk the line with my destination in mind. I just can't let myself (or others) get in the way....or i'ma start pushing people LOL jk.

Oh i gotta go…the line is moving!

P.S. About the title of my blog...

So for those of you who know me well know that I LOVE photography. I love how a camera can capture a moment....as if to stop time just for that second, in order to show others what it sees.

Anywho, back to the title....so the type of photography that I enjoy doing is "macro photography"...basically close-up photos....of anything really! So with this type of photography, one can see the detail and intricate design that each living and non-living this has on this Earth. I have come to see it as a different world....one that
has been overlooked by our busy and confused eyes. But if we take the time to rest our eyes and see the truth....this larger world will soon merge with the smaller world to create organic beauty.

From a door knob to the wings of a dragonfly....i see beauty all around us!

Reveal the extraordinary in ordinary things....just like "there are no ordinary moments", there are no ordinary things....squint your eyes and look closer...SEE LIFE IN MACRO!

This is what i mean...

I'll post more of my photos in later entries...maybe i'll do a "photo of the day" type deal...who knows! ;-)

P.S.S. When it comes to life: close your eyes and see with your heart....I think then things will become much clearer to you.

Greetings

"Have you ever stopped to consider how many people are saying "hello" to each other today, and in how many different languages? If you wanted to say "hello" to everyone on the planet, you would have to learn at least 2,796 languages and greet at least 6,500,000,000 (six and a half thousand million) people, (or six and a half billion in US numbers). Here are some of the ways of saying "hello" around the world."

Hello.
Holà. Bonjour. Ciào. Konnichi wa. Olá. Aloha. Namaste. Shalom. Ni hao. Hallo....

Just thought i'd greet you all in my first post with a simple but frequently used word.
